Urgent dental advice

During the coronavirus outbreak, dentists are not permitted to see patients face-to-face.

Many dental issues can be diagnosed and treated at home for the time being until we're open again. We have two useful documents which help you diagnose dental problems yourself - you can view them below and download them here and here.

Out of hours emergency service
If you have a genuine dental emergency such as dental trauma, uncontrolled bleeding or facial swelling, call NHS24 on 111 between 6pm and 9am Monday to Friday and all day Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

Temporary dental advice line

We've set up a telephone service which is open to existing patients of ours for urgent dental advice that doesn't fall into one of the categories below. It's available to patients who are currently registered with us, and it's open on Mondays to Fridays between 9am and 5pm. Please phone 0131 337 3936 and listen to the message for details. If you're not a patient of ours, we can't give you advice or treatment at this time. You must contact your own dentist first.
